The fold is headed up by our matriarch Val, who was one of the first of the cows along with Grizzle and Monica
Our cows are great fun, especially during the spring time when we are busy calving. It is a great opportunity to visit our native breed in such beautiful surroundings. It also has to be said that watching our little calves playing in the field is an absolute joy to witness.
From our cows we have been able to start producing our own meat. This wonderful rich beef is used in our own catering as well as being for sale from the Farm Kitchen, whether it be for a traditional Sunday roast or for steak sausages and burgers for the BBQ .
